How Online Couples Therapy Works

Flexible Setup

Partners can join from the same location or from different places—whatever works for your situation. All you need is a private space, internet connection, and a device with a camera.

Effective & Evidence-Based

Online Therapy for Unique Situations

Virtual couples therapy is particularly helpful when:

Different Locations

One or both partners travel frequently for work, are temporarily in different cities, or are navigating a long-distance relationship.

Scheduling Challenges

You work different shifts, have demanding schedules, or need evening/weekend sessions that traditional offices don’t offer.

Multi-State Couples

Both of you are located in California, North Carolina, or Virginia but in different states or cities within those states.

Privacy & Comfort

You prefer the privacy of your own space, have mobility challenges, or want to avoid waiting rooms.

What to Expect in Couples Therapy

First Session

Together, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy, what you hope will change, and begin identifying patterns in your relationship. This is a judgment-free space—not about taking sides, but understanding both perspectives.

Ongoing Work

We’ll focus on improving communication skills, understanding each other’s perspectives, breaking unhelpful patterns, and building connection. You’ll have tools to practice between sessions.

Your Pace

Some couples come weekly, others every other week. We’ll find a rhythm that works for your goals and schedules.

Individual Sessions When Needed

Sometimes we’ll meet individually to explore personal concerns that impact the relationship. This is discussed and agreed upon together.

My Approach to Couples Work

Together, we’ll work to move beyond blame and defensiveness so you can actually hear each other.

Whether you’re struggling with trust, communication, life transitions, or feeling disconnected—we create a space where both perspectives matter.

I don’t come in with an agenda about whether you should stay together or split up. Our work together focuses on understanding your patterns, improving how you relate to each other, and helping you make informed decisions about your relationship.

I work with couples of all backgrounds and relationship structures, including LGBTQ+ couples. Whether you’re navigating interfaith dynamics, cultural differences, or any other aspect of your partnership—you’re welcome here.
